Workforce and Economic Empowerment exists because so many of us have known what it's like to work hard and still feel stuck. We've been in the shoes of sending out countless applications, juggling bills, and wondering if stability will ever be possible. This program is about shifting that story-step by step, skill by skill.

We start with Career Readiness Training that feels human, not like a test. In these interactive sessions, we sit with you to build or rebuild your resume in a way that honors your lived experience-caregiving, recovery, community leadership, side gigs, all of it. We practice interviews together, role-playing tough questions and building the confidence to speak about your strengths without shrinking or exaggerating.

From there, our Job Placement Assistance focuses on real connections. We help you search for openings that fit your skills and interests, navigate online applications, and, when possible, connect with employer networks and partners who value diverse experiences. We know barriers like gaps in work history, records, or childcare are real; we don't ignore them, we plan around them.

Money management can feel loaded with shame, especially if no one ever taught you how to handle it. In our Financial Literacy Education sessions, we strip away the judgment and break finances down into clear, manageable pieces: understanding your income and expenses, building a simple budget, reducing or negotiating debt, improving credit, and planning ahead-even if you're starting from zero.

Throughout this work, we hold both the practical and the emotional. We talk honestly about how trauma, racism, and systemic barriers shape careers and finances, and we celebrate every win, from opening a first savings account to landing a job that actually pays the bills.

The goal isn't just a paycheck. It's a future where you feel more in control of your work life and money, and more able to support yourself, your family, and your dreams.
